Wanted to share with you that Monday afternoon, one of my Shift Supervisors who took the Choke Saver Class in January had to utilize what he learned for the first time and was successful at assisting a 90 year old guest, thank you for providing us the the tools to help our guests and save lives.
Classroom Courses

ASHI CPR AED is designed specifically for the laypeople and is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. This extremely flexible program will help prepare people to respond to a cardiac arrest and choking. This program conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.ASHI

The ASHI CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training program helps students develop the knowledge, skills and the confidence to respond to a medical emergency. Students learn the critical skills needed to manage and respond to cardiac arrest, choking, bleeding, shock, and more emergency situations. Conforms to the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR, ECC, and First Aid.

ASHI Basic First Aid was created to help students to develop basic first aid knowledge, skills and the confidence to respond. Students learn skills such as how to control bleeding, treat sprains and broken bones, and how to handle other first aid emergencies. Conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use and AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
$70 per person
This expert-level program helps keep healthcare professionals prepared and ready to respond as they encounter life-threatening emergencies, provide basic life support and respond to choking incidents. This course conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It has been approved for treating for Emergency Medical Services personnel and accepted be the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). The program is also CAPCE approved and widely accepted in more than 150 healthcare-related occupations.

This program will help student understand what blood borne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.

The online portion of the course is a web-based, self-directed program.
